Centre Director

Fiona has worked in the ECE field for over 20 years in three different provinces, and has been with New Brighton Child Care since we opened in 2015. She was an educator and Assistant Director before stepping into the role of Director. She earned her Level III ECE Supervisor certification with honours, and believes the child is a “mighty learner.” Continuing education is important to Fiona and she thrives in a learning environment where keeping up with current practice and creating inclusive settings is key. 

Forming warm relationships with children and their families is one of Fiona’s greatest strengths, and her ‘Storytime’ classroom visits are legendary. 

Assistant Director/Sr. Preschool Room Educator

Miss Grechilyn is a Child Development Supervisor with a degree in Education. She has been working at NBCC since 2015! When Miss Grechilyn isn't working, she enjoys spending time with her family!

Infant Room Educator

Miss Maria is a Child Development Supervisor and has her Early Childhood Education diploma from Mount Royal College. She has worked with infants and toddlers for over 10 years and is passionate about the little ones!

Infant Room Educator

Miss Heather is a Child Development Supervisor and has completed her Diploma in Early Childhood Education. She has been with NBCC Since August 2018. When she isn't teaching Heather enjoys staying active, listening to music (especially country), and spending time with her family.

Toddler Room Educator

Bora has her Bachelor of Child & Family Studies, Bachelor of Psychology, and is a Level III Early Learning Educator.

Bora has been working with Infants and Toddlers since 2012 and creates dynamic classroom experiences.

Toddler Room Educator

Wing is a newer ECE Level III graduate and educator who works on our toddler team. Wing is incredibly gentle and warm with her guidance in such a busy room!

Wing is trilingual and has a background in photography.

Amy is part of our Jr. Preschool team and recently moved to Calgary from BC.

Amy has been a head teacher and worked in a Montessori school too. Amy brings much warmth and patience to her classroom and is continuing her ECE education to obtain her Level III.

Jr. Preschool Room Educator

Miss Jodi is a Child Development Supervisor and holds a Early Childhood Education diploma from Bow Valley College. When she isn't teaching, Miss Jodi enjoys reading short novels, cooking, trying different cuisines and creating social connections.

Sr. Preschool Room Educator

Miss Misuk is a Child Development Supervisor and has an education degree. She has been working in the field for over 10 years and has plenty of experience with preschool-aged children! When she isn't working, Miss Misuk enjoys camping, watching movies and spending time with her family!

Pre-K Room Educator

Nadine holds a degree in Bachelor of Human Ecology in Family Social Sciences plus has her Level III ECE certification. Nadine brings a lot of experience to our centre and challenges the largest class in our daycare as individuals and as a group.

Nadine also works part time at a parent resource facility and runs a drop in “connect and play” session.

Pre-K Room Educator

Irene has over 10 years in the ECE field and holds a Bachelor of Education Degree from Korea.

One of Irene’s strongest asset’s is her curriculum planning and providing experiences that promote individual expression through positive conversation and play.

Kinder-Pre Educator

Miss Caitlyn is a Child Development Assistant and has been with us since December 2020. She takes pride in her excellent programming and challenges her children developmentally to ensure they are prepared for Kindergarten.

Her creativity encourages a lot of self expression and as an educator thinks “outside the box.”

Ruby is a Level 1 ECE Assistant and is newer to the education field. Ruby has a natural love for children and brings a lot of fun and unique ideas to the classroom.

Chef

Nicole has been with our Centre for many years and has been a positive impact in various classrooms from infants to Pre-K and has her Level II ECE certification.

More recently Nicole started as our chef and brings fresh healthy ideas to our kitchen and her usual sunny disposition.
